At K&D Specialist Interiors we love nothing more than a really challenging request; perhaps one that no single person in the team is sure how to solve, but by putting our heads together we come up with something that far exceeds the customer’s expectations.
Take the new Wright Brothers restaurant in Spitalfields. The brief was to design and manufacture bench seating for both inside and outside; the only condition was that it had to look as if had been there from the very earliest days of Spitalfields’ rich history. For us that meant finding exactly the right timbers and then going back to the old ways to give really authentic ageing.
If you are strolling near Baron’s Court tube station at any time, have a look for H G Walter, the famous organic butchers. We designed their shop front for them in response to their wish that their finest quality products, on show in the window, should be framed with similar quality. With that sort of attention to detail no wonder they were voted ‘Best Small Butchers Shop in Great Britain’!
We were also asked to create the interiors for the exciting new Fish Place and Helix Bar in Battersea, managing the many subcontractors and delivering the design to the letter, on time and on budget.
